When and how did Mogs get started?

Massive Online Gaming Sales LLC (MOGS) was formed in 2004 by a group of veteran MMO gamers based in Ohio, USA. Previously the team had worked individually in the secondary market of MMORPGs since 1998 operating on a small scale via eBay and other trading platforms. With each team member bringing unique skills and experiences to the industry, MOGS developed a service that intimately understood the needs of gamers and sought to satisfy those needs in a way that would build lasting relationships with customers.

Why are customers important to Mogs?

Success as a business is due to this deep rooted understanding of its customers. Many of MOGS's competitors are built on capital from third party investors and survive by outsourcing operations to Asia, often leading to poor service delivery due to non-comprehension of customer values. Conversely, MOGS exists as an independent company, operating all processes from central offices in Ohio and continuing the philosophy it was built on; by gamers, for gamers.

What does Mogs do to stay #1?

To this day, MOGS continues to innovate where others consolidate. The company consistently invests in new processes to shorten delivery times, enhance the clarity of communication and delight its customers. There are also plans for community-focussed additions to the MOGS service to help customers get the most out of their gaming experience. This clearly displays the company's intent of being an active stimulus in the gaming marketplace, rather than a benign cash-cow in the portfolio of a venture capitalist. We are truely inspired gamers; constantly striving to make things fun and easy for everyone involved in our website. We really do understand our clients and their needs, and try our very best to make every experience you have at mogs a pleasant one.

Mogs vs Godzilla

Our most valuable asset here at Mogs is our staff. We strive to make Mogs as strong as it can be and the best foundation you can have for any company is a solid supporting cast. Each person brings something different to the table and with that in mind we would like to take a moment to introduce you to the team and give you a chance to get to know us just a little bit better.

Justin

Vice President of Operations

Hello! My name is Justin! I am the jack of all trades here at MOGS. If you need something fixed, I am your man. In my free time I like to take to the skies of BF2 and bomb the hapless noobs below :-) When I am not online, I enjoy camping in the Allegheny Mountains of Pennsylvania. My faithful companion Casey, (pictured below), accompanies me on all camping trips.

I am also a long time resident of Cleveland, Ohio... go Tribe!

Joe

Powerleveling / CSR Manager

Hi all, my name is Joe. I have been playing games forever ... the first system I had was an Atari 2600 (yea, I'm old). I am currently big on World of Warcraft, and I also play a bit of Counter Strike and Spore. I have been married to my wife for sixteen years, and we have four kids (three sons, one daughter). All of my sons play WoW, and my daughter is big on the SIMS. In turn, my wife, who is the only non-gamer in the family, is the only force keeping all of our game play from getting out of hand. I owned a gaming center in Lakewood, Ohio prior to joining the MOGS team, so you could say that my kids were all raised on video games and gaming has always been a big part of our family.

Jared

Director of International Operations and Development

I'm in charge of coordinating with our overseas coworkers as well as international business development here at MOGS.

I recently graduated with my master's degree from Ohio State University. I speak several languages and enjoy traveling around the world. During my free time I enjoy reading, PC gaming (WOW, Asheron's Call, DOTA), and eating exotic foods.

I used to be a hardcore EQ2 player, starting up the once-famous guild Malice, but have recently become a carebear due to a busy work schedule.

I'm happy to help out with any questions or problems you might have; feel free to get in touch with me at Jared@Mogs.com.

Chris

Director of Marketing

As the courageous leader of MOGS online marketing efforts, I bravely take on Chinese spam on a daily basis. When I'm not plowing through Chinglish spam or working my black-magic SEO, I enjoy walking in the Scottish Hills and watching some good football (the real kind). I got into the MMORPG industry after six years in Anarchy Online

Ahh, the good ol' days...

Jason

Web Development / Code Monkey / CSR

I'm the new kid here at Mogs.com, my job is to play around with all kinds of nerdy aronyms like XHTML, PHP, SQL, and AJAX. I'm lucky enough to get a paycheck for doing the things that I would be doing anyway. Otherwise, when I'm not doing development, I float around and pitch in a hand where needed, you will often find me on the weekends hanging out in live chat and helping out with any questions or problems you may be having.

I'm on the backend of a World of Warcraft addition. I have a level 80 hunter and a 70 mage, rogue, druid, warrior, but I am hoping something new will come along and cure me (SWTOR!). Otherwise I am an avid movie pirate (ARR!) and in the summer I like to blow the dust of my skateboard, throw on my ipod, and carve or float vert for a while at the local skatepark. I'm an a-typical boring closet nerd.

Dan

Lead Customer Service Representitive

I was born and raised here in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio. I have an Associates of Art degree in Social Science as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Business / E-commerce and have worked at MOGS for several years now. I currently play EVE Online and World of Warcraft (playing a Mage on Stonemaul Horde but I just started leveling an alt priest).

I have very little free time for games currently as my wife and I welcomed our second child into the world in late 2008. My personal time is usually spent reading (mostly non-fiction), searching eBay. I also love to write short stories that I hope to publish one day. I rarely sleep, love to eat, and enjoy collecting CDs, books, and sunglasses!

Mark

Lead Customer Service Representitive

Hi all! I'm Mark, your go-to guy for SWG (Star Wars Galaxies) credits and powerleveling. I spend most of my free time playing SWG or CS: Source. In SWG I play on the Lowca and Chilastra servers. I play a Jedi for my main char, but have a Spy, Bounty Hunter, Entertainer, and Domestics Trader as well.

I have lived here in Cleveland, OH for nearly all thirty-five years of my crazy life. I'm happily married with three kids (one son and two daughters). We have a few cats and some empty fish tanks (I'm hoping to turn my 75 gallon into a salt-water tank).

Christian

Customer Service Representitive

When the weather permits, I like to spend my free time outside, walking a few miles into town or working on cars. Whether it's on two wheels or four, I love to drive and am very into motorsports. Other times, I prefer kicking back with friends and having a few beers while playing XBOX 360, or heading out for a bite to eat. The video game genre I prefer most is first person shooters. I've been engrossed in them since I first picked up DOOM and Duke Nukem 3D many years ago. Current games which I am big on are Left 4 Dead and Gears of War 2.

Tom

Customer Service Representitive

Why hello thar! Tom here! Never exactly sure what to write for things like this, so I'll stick with the basics. I'm currently a sophomore in college, and am hoping to become a journalist one day. As far as gaming goes, I have been playing WoW since launch, spending waaay too much time playing both my hunter and my warrior. For all you stalkers out there, you can find me as Ruryk on Mannoroth Alliance. If I'm not on WoW, you can find me somewhere in CoD 4 or in Live Help Messenger!

Jon

Customer Service Representitive

Jon here. I am twenty years old and in my sophomore year in college, majoring in fine arts; I hope to later attain a teaching degree. During my free time I enjoy watching movies and anything on Adult Swim. I play WoW as well as the WoW trading card game. I've been playing since the game was released way back in 2004. I played a warlock as a main up until Wrath, after which I switched to my druid for a change of pace. You can look me up as Corcia on Mannoroth Alliance.
